Vocational Adjustment

Vocational adjustment refers to the amount, if any, that an individual may be able to accommodate to different tools, skills, and job situations deemed reasonable based upon vocational factors that would allow an individual to have substantial work. To qualify for disability benefits, Social Security must find that you are unable to do any work which you have done previously, and that you cannot be reasonably trained for any work which is available anywhere in the country without vocational adjustments. If an individual is deemed unable to adjust to any other work based upon their age, work history, and education, they may be eligible for SSDI benefits.
