Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)

The Annual Enrollment Period, or AEP, is the timeframe each year from October 15th through December 7th during which current Medicare recipients can change their Medicare coverage for the following year. Changes to a recipient’s elections will take place January 1st. Individuals can switch between Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage, change to a different Medicare Advantage, or enroll or change their Medicare Part D (prescription) plan. It is important to review the Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) which outlines plan changes, costs, and benefits for the following year.
